Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Nashville, Illinois, I was inspired from a young age by Native (Osage) ballerina, Maria Tallchief and planned to focus exclusively on dance. At age 11, I saw THE SHAUGHRAUN at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, and my world changed...watching classic film with my grandmother only fueled the fire!
I attended both Illinois Wesleyan University (musical theatre) and Stephens College in Columbia, MO (BFA Theatre Arts), and combined the best of both worlds to develop a deep respect for my craft, finding a niche early on as a fearless character actor in roles like Lucky in WAITING FOR GODOT. A proud member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, I've been based in St. Louis, Chicago, and New York City. In 2019, I began a new adventure in Hannibal, MO, an artistic community (Missouri's creative community of the year) celebrating its Bicentennial.
While based in St. Louis, I co-founded and for 7 years co-managed Avalon Theatre Company, a nonprofit Equity company which began in the basement of a church and developed to a well-respected, award-winning company with its own innovative theatre in ArtSpace. An enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and a direct descendant of Shawnee leader, Tecumseh, my solo show about growing up in a Native/multi-cultural family, PORTRAIT OF MY PEOPLE, is near and dear to my heart.
